Cape May’s Fourth Annual Designer Show House (Thru 10/19/2008) Cape May’s Fourth Annual Designer Show House: The 1915 Otis Townsend residence at 115 Reading Ave. is Cape May’s outstanding example of the Craftsman style, which incorporates clean lines and natural materials. Discover this charming home with fabulous structural details that has been restored to its original glory and made over by some of the region’s top designers and suppliers. Jitterbugs Music & Movement (9/5/2008, 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM) Come join Jitterbugs Music & Movement and spend some unique bonding time with a special child in your life. Participate in 45 minute music & movement classes and interact with one another by partaking in tickling rhymes, bouncing, wiggling, dancing, rocking, and much more. In addition, the participants will experiment with different types of instruments such as rhythm sticks, egg shakers, and wrist bells. You will participate in bean bag activities and dance with scarves. You will also enjoy playing parachute games. Each child will receive his/her very own instrument to keep. Each family will receive a framed picture.

In a study of kids aged 1-12, the single biggest factor determining self-esteem was how much they were valued by their parents. Redirecting Children’s Behavior is a class designed to teach parents a form of discipline that is firm and kind, with an emphasis on respect, natural consequences rather than punishment, and creation of win/win situations between the parent and child. The goal of this type of discipline is to raise kids who are responsible, self-motivated, and able to develop and maintain close relationships with others.
