Campers will gain invaluable experience (and have loads of fun) working with esteemed regional artists. The arts hone problem-solving skills, foster confidence, improve communication skills and inspire DREAMS!

Perkins Center is dedicated to excellence in the arts and to providing a wide range of creative opportunities for people of all ages and every level of artistic development.

Programs of Perkins Center for the Art are funded in part by a grant from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Dept. of State, a partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts. Additional support for the Summer Arts Camp is generously provided by the Campbell Soup Foundation, John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the Township of Moorestown and the Borough of Collingswood.

In "Enchanted Dreams and Flights of Fancy" Budding Artists will work with 6 artists per session. Each session includes visual art and performance art components. Campers will explore the magic of dreams through theatre, dance, music, painting, sculpture ceramics and more! The possibilities are endless: colorful concoctions, fantasy animals and creatures, vivid and inventive storytelling, inspired dance and music. Artists can take the campers to places never before imagined!

In "Destination: Imagination" Young Artists will work in depth with 2 artists in each 2 week session. Young Artists will explore the fantastical world of surrealism and dreams through painting, theatre, music and dance. Campers will be exposed to great artists such as Dali, Magritte, Frida Kahlo, and many others. Beyond surrealism, Young Artists will learn how to take a dream and through imagination, invention, creativity, and planning transform it into a painting, a play, a song or a sculpture.
