Description

Ceramic Arts are our passion at The Clay Studio, a non-profit learning center in the heart of Old City, Philadelphia. Our exhibitions, retail shop, classes, artist residencies an community outreach programs educate and inspire locally, nationally and internationally


Classes Offered

This fall we are offering:
1. Saturday Children's Clay Class
five weeks 10/6-11/3
2. Saturday Children's Clay Class
five weeks 11/10-12/15
10am - 12 noon / $100 each
3. Ten week Ceramics Class for
Home Schooled Children
Fridays, 10/5-12/14, 10am -1pm
$225 Members/ $250 Non-memb.
Adult & Child Workshops
4. Exploring Clay Slabs Workshop
Saturday, 10/27, 10am - 12 noon
$35 adult & one child/ $10 2nd child
5. Holiday Treasures Workshop
Saturday, 12/1, 10am - 12 noon
$25 adult & one child/ $10 2nd child

Facility Description

The Clay Studio is located in an historic building in Old City Philadelphia. Classes are held on the 3rd floor in light, airy spaces. Firings for children's classes are done in electric kilns. Students are encouraged to wander through the galleries and shop on the 1st floor for inspiration.


Instructors Description

The artists teaching at The Clay Studio are all professional clay artists working in the field. Many have their studios on the 4th floor of the building and their work can also be seen in the galleries and shop.
