Mission & Philosophy

Our Lady of Good Counsel School strives to provide an intense support system for families as clergy, staff, students and parents come together for prayer, work and service. The experience of Christian community at Good Counsel school enhances each child's living and learning experiences by combining charity and respect for others with academic excellence.

Educational Objectives

Our Lady of Good Counsel School provides a rigorous academic curriculum, including mathematics, computer education, science, integrated language arts, religion, social studies, physical education, Spanish language and art.

Learning Environment

Our full-day kindergarthen program gives students a head start in academics and the formation of solid Christian values. Formal religious instruction in the Catholic faith is conducted daily in both the Early Childhood Center and the main school. Students begin and end each day in prayer. Each child is encouraged to develop moral values and a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. Charity and respect for others are taught through a variety of programs and activitiies.

We are fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, meeting its standards of educational excellence. OLGC students consistently score far above national averages on standardized tests such as Terra Nova.
