Every student begins the program with a Diagnostic Evaluation that accurately assess strengths and weaknesses.
Once we know the exact needs of the student, we meet with the student's parents or guardians to discuss the student's performance, and the recommended number of hours and sessions needed to master grade level skills. We then embark on the personalized program of instruction best suited to meet the academic needs of each child. Student progress is measured on a regular basis using a series of standardized achievement tests, performance on the Center's curricula, in-school academic progress and comments from teachers.
The results show that a personalized program of instruction and caring support from teachers is a winning formula for success. In fact, 9 out of 10 parents of students who turn to us for personalized reading instruction (and 4 out of 5 who turn to us for mathematics) say their child's grades have improved - right along with their child's motivation and confidence. Over 90 percent of the families who work with Huntington recommend our services to others.
