Aside from the delicious produce that you can oftentimes pick yourself, many farms offer a great place for you and your family to spend your summer days. From festivals to furry friends and feasts, farms are a great place to enjoy fresh air and free entertainment.

This summer, take a trip to Merrymead Farm to watch “From Moo to You”, the story of how milk is made. While you’re there, meet many farm animals and watch as cows are milked and sheep are sheared.

At “Down on the Farm”, kids get to meet and pet many zoo animals, learn about their products and how they help farmers, and play a game where they find out just what animal products can make. Sleepy Hollow also offers riding lessons, animal parties, and a petting zoo.

During your visit enjoy some tasty treats from our deli and bakery. In late June and July, you can pick sweet cherries. In August, peaches, September, apples, October apples and pumpkins.
