The Kennedy Health System is the First

Sometimes life takes an unexpected turn and you all the sudden find out you need to have an endoscopic procedure done, maybe to take a look at your cervix to make sure you don’t have cancer or an amnioscopy during pregnancy. Well, you have a new friend to in the The Kennedy Health System: They’ve  become the first hospital system in South New Jersey—and one of the first in the entire country—to introduce Stryker Endoscopy’s second-generation high-definition visualization system for minimally-invasive surgical procedures at its three hospitals and outpatient Surgical Center. This new, $1.1 million high-definition medical video technology provides surgeons with the latest advancements in high definition technology, providing a level of visual clarity not previously available during endoscopic procedures. A total of 18 of the 1188 Stryker systems are now in place throughout the Kennedy System: five complete systems at Kennedy-Washington Township and at Kennedy–Stratford; four at Kennedy-Cherry Hill, and four at the Kennedy Surgical Center in Turnersville.

Get Some Satisfaction

Whether you’re inquiring about a bill or looking to speak with someone about some recent blood work, Virtua comes first in costumer satisfaction. Virtua’s Information Services Customer Support Center was certified as a center of excellence by Purdue University’s Center for Customer-Driven Quality. To be certified, the Customer Support Center had to perform in the top 10 percent when benchmarked against other healthcare organizations. This achievement recognizes Virtua’s commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Receiving certification means the CSC has balanced efficiency and effectiveness while operating at the lowest possible cost and increasing customer loyalty. “Providing excellent customer service is central to Virtua’s culture,” says Carolyn Ensminger, Information Services Customer Support Center manager. “Pursuing and achieving this certification validates that the high standards we set for ourselves are setting us apart when compared to our peers in the industry.”
